Bear Kvitka

Bear Kvitka

The female brown bear came to our sanctuary in June 2018

Born in 2008, Kvitka was abused as bait for hunting dogs and was kept in a small cage of no more than 4 square metres. She was only allowed to leave her cage for fights. In summer 2018, Kvitka was finally transferred from the hunting station where she was kept in Terebovlya to BEAR SANCTUARY Domazhyr.

Kvitka in her new home

Kvitka has a fragile personality and is a very cautious bear due to the abuse she endured in her former life at the hunting station. Kvitka hibernated for the first time in her life in the winter of 2018-2019.
