The bear is one of the smartest animals in the world. Bears climb up trees to harvest fruits and nuts, search for mosquito larvae under stones, and catch trout in swift mountain rivers. Brown bears are omnivores, their diet consists to 80 percent of vegetables and fruits, and the remainder of meat and nuts. So do not be surprised to see or hear a bear while out picking berries. Still, it is hard to actually encounter a bear – it can take wildlife biologists weeks or even months to meet a bear.
