BEAR Sanctuary Domazhyr

BEAR SANCTUARY Domazhyr is situated in Western Ukraine, near Lviv, in the UNESCO Roztochya Biosphere Reserve. The overall land area reserved for the sanctuary comprises approx. 20 hectares. The first completed area of 7.7 hectares provides space for ten bears with three large outdoor enclosures offering a natural environment, and four smaller outdoor enclosures designed for the adaptation phase following a bear rescue. Both outdoor areas also have access to indoor boxes.
