Female brown bear Anya was born in 2015. Anya was probably first privately kept by a person in Kharkiv, then she was brought to Pokrovsk Zoo where the conditions were so terrible that the authorities confiscated her. Since January 2019 she was kept temporarily in Home Zoo in Vasylivka.

We got the chance to take over Anya and her friend Frankie and provide them a new and species-appropriate life in our BEAR SANCTUARY Domazhyr.
